Do you want to start a solo legal practice that is innovative, sustainable and justice-oriented? Are you recently out of law school? Are you tired of working for someone else and want to start your own firm? Do you want to make a positive impact on your community as a social legal entrepreneur?
The Incubator for Legal Practice and Innovation offers access to training, a collaborative and supportive network, and subsidized resources to jump-start your legal practice. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Complete and submit your application here. The Fall cohort will be selected in late August or early September. The cohort will typically launch in September. However, as mentioned in the FAQs, some participants may join the cohort in mid-cycle.
The participation agreement (available here) spells out the mutual commitments made by the incubator and the participants.
The application process is designed to be simple. The main purpose is to make sure that you -- the applicant -- are a good fit and that incubator will benefit you. The application process includes:
1. completed application form;
2. signed participation agreement;
